The establishment of the WCC is a direct demonstration of H.E. President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s vision and commitment to national development, as outlined in the Big Five Game Changers. In particular, our mandate strongly supports the agenda of Revamping the Public Service Architecture, which seeks to build an efficient, professional, and motivated public sector that can deliver quality services to all citizens. Guided by the Wages and Compensation Commission Act, 2023, we are tasked with harmonizing and regulating salaries, wages, pensions, and allowances across the public service. This important reform reduces disparities, promotes equity, and enhances efficiency, laying the foundation for a fair and sustainable compensation system that motivates workers and strengthens governance.
